Get Answers to Common Questions About Our Services

We have compiled a list of commonly asked questions and their answers to help simplify your search for caregiver resources and home healthcare. Feel free to contact us directly at 610-645-8627 anytime with specific questions or concerns — we’re here to support you!

How do I determine if your services are right for my loved one?

We provide a free, no-obligation in-home consultation to determine what services you may want or need, answer any questions you have, and decide which of our caregivers would be your loved one’s best caregiver.

How do you screen the caregivers that provide services for my loved one?

The Manager and Vice President of Waverly Care interviews each caregiver personally, and we directly employ, rather than contract, the caregivers we send to your loved one’s home. All Waverly Care caregivers must pass 2 face-to-face interviews, at least 2 positive professional reference checks, State criminal clearance, Penndot 10-year Driver’s record, drug screening, county criminal record checks, the Office of Inspector General check, and infectious disease screening. We require a comprehensive orientation program and regularly review each employee’s performance. This process allows us full control over the quality of services we provide to you.

What is the background and training of Waverly Care caregivers?

Waverly Care employs licensed certified nurse aides, home health aides, and social caregivers with a variety of backgrounds. We provide ongoing training to our associates in areas including, but not limited to, Alzheimer’s care, skin care, person-centered care, transfer techniques, infectious disease control, nutrition, elder abuse and neglect, incontinence and constipation, pain levels, guidelines for performing personal care, and end-of-life care.

How do I pay for these services?

Waverly Care sends an invoice, and you can pay with a check, or ACH electronic payment. You won’t submit payment directly to caregivers. If you have a long-term care insurance policy, we will prepare and submit the necessary documentation to facilitate your reimbursement.

Will I be locked into a long-term contract?

We don’t require a long-term contract for our caregiver services. Instead, you can cancel, temporarily suspend services, or make schedule changes by giving us at least 24-hour notice.

Should I contact Waverly Care If my loved one only requires a little help?

Yes! We create a care plan tailored to your loved one’s needs. Some clients may only require assistance once a week for 4 hours, but we’re here to help, regardless of the scope of care needed.

Should I contact Waverly Care if my loved one needs daily assistance?

Yes! If needed, our employees can be there for your loved one 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We customize a plan of care with you.

Does Waverly Care provide medical care?

Waverly Care provides continuous supportive care. Waverly Care does not provide Skilled Nursing Services.

Does Waverly Care provide services in local hospitals?

Yes, we can provide private duty care in your home or a hospital.

Do I need to worry about taxes or insurance for my caregiver?
