This March, Waverly Heights Life Plan Community and Waverly Care celebrated dozens of its staff members and milestones in their employment at a special Length of Service luncheon. In total, 69 employees were honored and awarded for a combined 830 years of service to the Main Line retirement community. Individuals were each given a certificate of appreciation and gift to recognize their commitment and hard work.

“The breadth of experience and dedication among this stellar group of employees is a testament to the quality care provided within Waverly Care and at Waverly Heights at all levels,” said Thomas P. Garvin, President and CEO, Waverly Heights. “We strive to create an environment centered around community and fulfillment that encourages employees to view their time at Waverly as more than just a job. Each and every one of these individuals plays an important role in providing the services we do every day and I’m proud to call them my colleagues.”

The celebrants included employees who have worked at Waverly Heights and Waverly Care from five to up to 35 years. This year three employees celebrated their 35-year milestone. Various departments represented included administration, dining services, healthcare services, building services, and housekeeping and environmental services. Employees from Waverly Care, the retirement community’s private duty caregiver service, also received recognition.
